Area man gets pissed about nothing

Starbucks - the ubiquitous corporate coffee shop - has faced some backlash recently for pursuing a minimalist, modern design for their seasonal crimson cups. In the past, said festive coffee cups have also been that bright shade of red, though 2015 is the first year that tree and snowflake designs don't adorn Starbucks' cups. Some Internet dwellers are finding their feathers quite ruffled over this holiday affair.
After a bit of investigation through a few social networking sites, it can be found that the controversy lies in the fact that Starbucks has removed the purportedly religious designs - some choice Christians are more than offended. Charged with various accounts of "ruining Christmas" and "bashing Christians," Starbucks vice president of design has commented; "This year we wanted to usher in the holidays with a purity of design that welcomes all of our stories."
Oh. So you're not denying my faith, but rather accepting it and every other belief system throughout Starbucks' notably diverse consumer base? Well, happy holidays. I hope the rest of this snowy season can pass without incident.
